Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia has dismissed widespread rumours claiming she has reconciled with her estranged husband, music icon 2Baba Idibia, insisting she is single and focused on rebuilding her life.
The speculation followed the circulation of old videos on social media, with some unverified reports alleging that Annie had reunited with the singer after admitting she had been misled.
Reacting via her Instagram Story, the actress described the reports as false.
“Old videos circulating everywhere. False news everywhere,” she wrote.
In a more detailed Snapchat post, Annie firmly denied any reconciliation with 2Baba.
“Old videos circulating everywhere. False news everywhere. Lies, lies, lies and more lies! Annie is single! Not going back anywhere!! I do not live there anymore! All that concerns me are my two brilliant, beautiful daughters! My career!” she stated.

In one of the resurfaced videos, Annie reflected on her personal growth, saying the past year had taught her valuable lessons about love, self-worth and the importance of being valued.
“I realised that people fight to stay where they’re tolerated rather than where they’re celebrated,” she said.
The actress’s comments come more than a year after 2Baba publicly announced their separation. Since then, the singer has moved on with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
At the 2026 Headies Awards, Annie also made headlines when she reintroduced herself as Annie Macaulay, signalling a fresh chapter in her life while declaring herself single.
Despite the persistent online speculation, Annie’s latest statements make it clear that she has no plans to rekindle her relationship with the music legend and is instead focused on her daughters and career.
