Three men who allegedly kidnapped their neighbour, Umar, in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State and handed him over to bandits were reportedly killed by the same group after the victim was found dead.
The victim, identified as Umar Sa’ad Moba, was reportedly abducted by the three men and handed over to a group of bandits.
According to reports, Umar’s family paid millions of naira as ransom for his release. Following the payment, the bandits reportedly handed him back to the three men to take him home.
However, the men allegedly stopped in the bush and killed Umar because they knew him and feared he could identify them. They reportedly abandoned his body before leaving the area.
When Umar failed to return home after the ransom was paid, his family reportedly contacted the bandits to inquire about his whereabouts.
The bandits allegedly told the family that Umar had already been released to the three men.
They later reportedly lured the suspects back by claiming that additional ransom money had been received. Following their return, the three men were allegedly detained and questioned.
According to the report, the suspects confessed to killing Umar and disclosed the location where they had abandoned his body. The bandits later turned on the suspects, reportedly killing all three after their alleged confession.
The allegations, including the reported confession and circumstances surrounding Umar’s death, have not been independently verified and remain subject to confirmation by relevant authorities.
