A Nigerian woman kidnapped in the Kasuwan Magani area of Kaduna state has drawn sympathies for returning pregnant after months in captivity.
The woman, according to Journalist Reuben Buhari, was abducted while she was tending to her seriously ill mother. During the raid, the kidnappers abducted four victims and held them for five months battling hunger, sickness, and constant beatings.
However, the lady regained her freedom earlier this week after a ransom payment.
Following her release, she was taken to the hospital where she was discovered to be pregnant.
The journalist revealed that;
She had been repeatedly raped by the kidnappers. Her decision to terminate the pregnancy could not proceed immediately because she was weak and required stabilization first, including blood transfusions. Her feet were also swollen because she had been barefoot throughout her ordeal.
The incident has raised significant concerns about the ordeal of kidnap victims which include gruesome and severe hardship.
