Prominent Nigerian Actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo has set the record straight regarding a snubbing incident involving Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham at her recent event.
Iyabo Ojo explained in a Mar. 31 Instagram post that the incident likely stemmed from renewed tension between the two actresses.
According to her, both actresses had initially settled their differences and put the issues behind them following her intervention. She added that the settlement included a clause stating that no one should shade the other online. Hence, all issues were expected to be addressed off-camera.
She stated in her post that;
I tried my very best to settle both of them, cried, knelt down, begged both parties to embrace peace which they both later did, reason you saw them a few months ago interacting with one another, but there was a condition, no one was to shade online if any issue arose, they both promised to address it off camera.
However, tensions resumed in December 2025 after Toyin accused certain people of trying to sabotage her movie in the cinema. Amid this, fans allegedly pointed accusing fingers towards Funke, sparking up a fresh beef.
Recall that a recent video showed Funke Akindele snubbing Toyin Abraham’s greetings at Iyabo Ojo’s movie premiere.
Responding to the incident, Toyin Abraham disclosed that she will never do something like that again.
