Nollywood actress Lilian Afegbai has expressed dissatisfaction at the AMVCA for excluding her from the 2026 award nominee list.
The actress who played the role of Idia in “To Kill A Monkey” argued that the character was the most popular in 2025. Yet, she wasn’t nominated for any award for playing the role well.
She added that the organizers can also “Go and eat their award.”
While she noted that she doesn’t need a nomination for validation, the outburst has already drawn backlash from social media users. Some users argued that she shouldn’t have called the organizers out. Others contend that she could have expressed herself in a better manner.
