The Oyo State Government has declared Tuesday 16th June 2026 as a Public Holiday, according to a statement circulating online.
Per the statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government Prof. Musibau Adetunji Babatunde, the holiday comes in commemoration of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448AH.
Hence, workers across the state are expected to take the day off work to mark the holy day.
The move position Oyo State alongside others like Borno, which has declared similar holiday.
