All schoolchildren and women abducted by suspected terrorists in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State have been rescued after 56 days in captivity, security authorities confirmed on Friday.
The rescue followed coordinated operations by security agencies under the supervision of federal authorities, according to information made available on Friday.
Officials disclosed that all the victims were recovered safely through ongoing security efforts, although details of the operation, including how the rescue was carried out and whether any suspects were arrested, were not immediately released.
