A Nigerian man has reportedly been arrested after allegedly purchasing drinks worth millions of naira on credit at a nightclub.
According to reports, the suspect also allegedly collected cash on credit from the nightclub during his visit, only for staff to later discover that he had no money in his bank account.
The incident came to light after the club reportedly attempted to verify payment and discovered that the man’s account had no available funds. He was subsequently arrested, while authorities are expected to continue investigations into the matter.
However, the incident, captured in a viral video shared on X, has sparked widespread reactions online, with many users expressing disbelief, mocking the suspect, and condemning his alleged actions.
One X user tweeted:
“But the boy be de ball for that club normally before o 😂 he nor want make he name comot from top 10 ballers for the club na why he rush go do reservations.”
Another user added:
“I don’t even know who he was trying to impress, now look at how he has disgraced himself.”
Some commenters, however, speculated without providing any evidence that the incident could be linked to so-called “Yahoo Plus” or ritual practices.
One user, @legitcriz, wrote:
“Guys this is new pattern of ritual. When you disgrace them publicly that’s part of what Dey want. See how many thief’s are being captured them they force them to dance. It’s all new update for Yahoo +”
