Nigerian skitmaker Kevin Blac also known as Governor Amuneke has rejected an offer to be named as the youth ambassador for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Governor Amuneke revealed that he was recently recommended for appointment as INEC’s youth ambassador following his satirical videos mocking politicians and governance issues. He disclosed that while he was initially happy about the offer, the conditions caused him to reject it.
Amuneke explained that one of the conditions attached to his appointment is to never criticize INEC. He stated that while has never directly criticized the agency, he believes that the deal will affect his message.
He furthered that the electoral commission is one of the major facilitators of governance issues he condemns. As such, not criticizing them would limit his brand.
Meanwhile, he highlighted that his rejection is not out of disrespect but about purpose, timing, and conviction.
The offer comes a few months after Amuneke was allegedly offered a similar opportunity by the ruling party to stop criticizing them.
Consequently, his rejections have now attracted praise from Nigerians who are hailing him for staying true.
