Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has opened up about his long-running feud with fellow rapper Odumodublvck, revealing that a woman was at the centre of their fallout.
The rapper made the revelation during an appearance on the Nevon Podcast, where he explained how a relationship involving the woman eventually caused tension between him and Odumodublvck.
Blaqbonez said he was not officially dating the woman but described their relationship as a “friends with benefits” arrangement. According to him, he was unaware that she was also in a relationship with Odumodublvck at the time.
“I can’t say we were dating or anything. It wasn’t official, but like, the best term to describe it would be like friends with benefits, right? Because we kind of like, were friends and we were intimate.”
How the feud started
According to Blaqbonez, the situation changed when the woman contacted him to end their relationship.
He said he felt her message was “performative” and gave the impression that he was the one refusing to let go. Curious about her situation, he asked her directly who she was dating.
It was then, he said, that he discovered she was in a relationship with Odumodublvck.
Blaqbonez explained that he immediately decided to respect their relationship and withdraw.
“You guys won’t hear from me again. I will respect everything that you guys have. Peace.”
He believed the matter was over until Odumodublvck later contacted him and asked whether he had previously been intimate with the woman.

Blaqbonez said he deliberately avoided giving a direct answer because he did not want to interfere with their relationship.
“I don’t know what she told you, so I can’t answer this question and affect anything that you guys have.”
‘Then we are enemies’
Blaqbonez said Odumodublvck was unhappy with his response and allegedly told him:
“Then we are enemies since you are not telling me. Peace out, bro.”
The rapper said he subsequently tried to establish when the woman’s relationship with Odumodublvck had started.
He explained that if she had already ended things with him before beginning a relationship with Odumodublvck, he believed there would have been no reason for hostility.
However, according to Blaqbonez, Odumodublvck declined to disclose when their relationship began, further escalating the disagreement.
The revelation provides new context to the highly publicised rift between the two Nigerian rappers, who were previously known for collaborating before their relationship deteriorated into public exchanges and subliminal shots.
Their feud had been playing out publicly since 2025, with both artistes trading words on social media and through music.
Blaqbonez’s latest disclosure has now given fans a clearer picture of what he says triggered the fallout between the two rappers.
