Theme of The Four
The film also explores themes of hope, sacrifice and unity while incorporating elements of Nigerian music, fashion, language and tradition.
Akindele, who serves as the writer, director and producer of the project, said the movie would tell a relatable story about relationships and the experiences that shape people.
Speaking in an interview with BellaNaija, she said audiences had grown with her over the years and expected stories that both entertain and reflect their realities.
“With The Four, we are exploring the relationships that shape us, challenge us and stay with us. I think audiences will find a part of themselves in this story,” she said.
The project adds to Akindele’s growing list of major theatrical productions. She has previously directed and produced successful films including Omo Ghetto: The Saga, Battle on Buka Street, A Tribe Called Judah, Everybody Loves Jenifa and Behind The Scenes.
