The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Lagos socialite and social media influencer Afolabi Kazeem Micheal, popularly known as KC Luxury, over his alleged involvement in an international cocaine trafficking network.
The arrest followed the seizure of 184.5 kilograms of cocaine concealed in a consignment handled by a courier company in Lagos, the seizure described as the largest cocaine interception involving a logistics company in its history.
According to reports, the seized consignment was valued at about $27 million, with Nigerian authorities estimating its potential street value at approximately ₦39 billion. The drugs were allegedly intended for onward movement to the United Kingdom, other parts of Europe and Asia.
KC Luxury was reportedly arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, after NDLEA operatives received intelligence that he was allegedly planning to leave Nigeria.Â
The NDLEA officials narrated that KC Luxury, was not arrested voluntarily but apprehended while allegedly attempting to flee Nigeria. He explained that on the night of August 13, 2026, following credible intelligence that the suspect planned to leave the country on a business class flight to Paris. NDLEA operatives moved to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, where they arrested him at the boarding gate.
The agency said the suspect was found in possession of €7,750, £2,800 and ₦100,000 in cash, as well as expensive jewellery allegedly linked to the proceeds of his illicit activities. Adding that a subsequent search of the suspect’s luxury apartment on Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos, led to the recovery of several exotic vehicles.
Logistics Company Employee Arrested as Investigations Uncover International Network
Another suspect, identified as Lawal Mujab Kehinde, a logistics company employee, was also arrested in connection with the investigation.
The NDLEA said investigations indicated that the logistics employee allegedly assisted in packaging and moving the cocaine consignment for financial compensation.
The agency further said its investigation had uncovered links to an international trafficking network that allegedly used Nigeria as a transit point for moving cocaine to destinations abroad. Suspected members of the network have also reportedly been arrested in the United Kingdom.
However, The development forms part of the agency’s ongoing investigation into the alleged international cocaine trafficking network. The arrests have since drawn significant attention because of KC Luxury’s public profile as a social media personality and luxury goods dealer.
