Uganda Army Chief Threatens Arrest, Prison Terms for Men Who Last Less Than One Minute

Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has sparked reactions online after jokingly threatening to arrest men who cannot last more than one minute during sexual intercourse.

Kainerugaba made the remarks in a series of posts on X on Tuesday, where he described men who could not last beyond a minute as “useless men.”

“If you can’t last more than 1 minute and impregnate a woman we are going to arrest you! You are a useless man!” he wrote.

In another post, the army chief said women should time their partners and claimed that men who failed to last one minute would owe them 100,000 Ugandan shillings.

“Women should start timing their men. If they don’t finish 1 minute they owe you 100,000 shillings. They also owe URA 100,000 shillings,” he added.

Kainerugaba then extended the joke, announcing a supposed one-year prison sentence for men who “consistently do nothing with women.”

“And for useless men who consistently do nothing with women. We are introducing a 1 year prison term,” he posted.

He further claimed that men identified as “useless” would have to report to the nearest police station within two months before being transported to a government prison.

The posts attracted thousands of reactions, with users responding with jokes, criticism and questions about whether the threats were serious.

Kainerugaba, the son of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, is known for making provocative and sometimes controversial statements on X. His recent social-media activity has included comments on political and security matters.
