Babcock Takes Legal Action against Carter Efe over Fake “First Class Upper” Certificate

Babcock University has distanced itself from a graduation certificate recently shared by Nigerian streamer Carter Efe, describing it as a forged document.

Babcock University disclosed on June 29 that it didn’t issue the certificate shared online by Carter Efe. As such, they described the document as false and unauthorized.

Last week, the streamer shared a certificate he allegedly acquired from Babcock University after completing his studies. He alleged that he graduated from the institution and secured an Honorary Certificate with First Class Upper.

However, the institution explained that it doesn’t issue honorary certificates for undergraduate academic performance. They added that there is no academic classification known as First Class Upper in the institution.

Following this, the university urged members of the public to disregard the document or any other similar one.

Additionally, the institution revealed that legal actions are underway against the streamer over the misrepresentation.
