A Nigerian woman has stirred conversations on social media after declaring that she has given her boyfriend an ultimatum to marry her before the end of the year or risk losing the relationship.
Speaking in a video that has circulated online, the woman said she believes her partner is unnecessarily delaying their plans to settle down, insisting that financial limitations should not stop a man from taking the next step.
According to her, couples do not need to have everything in place before getting married, as they can build their lives together over time.
“I’ve already told my boyfriend that if he doesn’t marry me this year, the relationship can’t continue because he’s trying to delay me. We can start from somewhere,” she said.

The woman also challenged the notion that women are only interested in financially established men, arguing that many women are willing to support their partners as long as they see genuine effort and commitment.
“Money is not everything to women. What matters is seeing that our man is doing something,” she stated.
While expressing her willingness to contribute to her future husband’s success, she maintained that she does not believe in an equal 50/50 financial arrangement in marriage.
“I’ve never said I won’t support my man. I will support him, but I will not do 50/50 sharing with him,” she added.
