Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Prophet Odumeje has issued a fiery warning to Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a viral video shared online, the controversial cleric accused supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of prioritising personal benefits over the future of the country.
Speaking passionately to his congregation in Onitsha, Anambra State, Odumeje portrayed the 2027 election as more than a political contest, describing it as a battle over who ultimately controls Nigeria’s future, the political class or ordinary citizens. He questioned the willingness of Nigerians to support politicians in exchange for immediate personal gains, warning that such decisions could have consequences for generations to come.
The pastor’s comments come amid growing public frustration over economic hardship, rising living costs and concerns about the direction of the country.
The video has since generated reactions online, with several users expressing agreement with Odumeje’s broader message about putting Nigeria’s long-term interests ahead of short-term political benefits.
His remarks have further added to the increasingly heated political conversations surrounding the 2027 elections, as Nigerians debate the performance of the current administration and the choices that could shape the country’s next political chapter.
