Nigerians based in the United Kingdom sent the highest amount of money home among other countries in 2023.
An NBS data shared by TheCableIndex shows that Nigerians in the UK sent about $12.38 billion to the country in 2023.
Nigerians in the US followed on the second position with a far $2.20 billion remittance, while Canada marked third with $1.18 billion. Nigerians in Malaysia and Saudi Arabia sent in $853.67 million and $723.20 million respectively.
The remaining six countries are;
6. Libya 🇱🇾: $710.50m
7. United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪: $228.38m
8. Italy 🇮🇹: $215.16m
9. Sudan 🇸🇩: $123.58m
10. South Africa 🇿🇦: $73.21m
