A woman has appealed to Pastor Jerry Eze’s Streams of Joy church to refund N1,640,200 she allegedly transferred to the church’s account by mistake.
In a video circulating on social media, the woman was seen visibly distressed and in tears as she explained that the transfer was accidental and was not an offering to the church. She pleaded with the church to assist her in recovering the money, expressing concern over the significant amount involved.
The woman also shared screenshots of the alleged bank transactions as evidence of the payment. The screenshots showed transaction details, including specific amounts, the recipient name, Okpara Obiageli Sandra, and contact information. According to her account, the transfer was made unintentionally, prompting her to seek the church’s intervention to have the funds returned.
“My name is Sandra Okpara. I am a single mom of two and I believe in God and I’ve always been praying for God on NSPPD. I did my service this morning, I did my communion and I did my transfer for offering. Two or three hours later I wanted send money to my Zenith account for a voucher. I did an erroneous transfer of N1,640,200. I’m doing this video because I cannot lie. If you know anyone that works at Streams of Joy International…That money is not for me, it’s for people and those people are calling me out…” she said.
However, the development has drawn attention online, with viewers reacting to the woman’s appeal for the church’s intervention.
Responding to the video, Streams of Joy’s official account stated that it had not received any prior direct contact from the woman regarding the alleged transaction.
The church invited her to provide the relevant transaction details through its official channels for immediate investigation and resolution.
