APC politician in tears, shows off nomination form after party endorsed consensus candidate

A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has sparked reactions online after breaking down in tears following the party’s decision to adopt a consensus candidate.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the visibly emotional party member was seen displaying his nomination form while expressing deep disappointment over being sidelined during the selection process. He lamented the time, effort, and resources he had invested in the party, only to be excluded as a critic.

Although the identity of the distressed politician has not been confirmed, some social media users suggested the incident may have occurred in Northern Nigeria, citing the Kanuri language heard in the background of the video while pointing to states like Borno or Yobe.

The user wrote:

“They are speaking Kanuri in the background, indicating it might be Borno or Yobe State this issue happened.

This consensus will divide the party. Let’s wait and see.”

“Government of agony by ill treatment and for APC members according to Ben Ayade” Another user commented.

Meanwhile, another commenter advised:

“Tell him to come to NDC, if he’s an honest person o. If he’s a criminal, serves him right.”

The incident comes  few days after a similar case involving an APC aspirant in Kwara State. The aspirant, Abdulmajeed Abdulfatai Arikewuyo, went viral after breaking down in tears over his failed attempt to secure a ticket for the State House of Assembly.

In the emotional video, he explained that he had earlier submitted his details locally and was assured by party officials that his name had been forwarded for consideration.

However, things took a different turn when he tried to follow up at the state level. According to him, officials informed him that his name was not recorded.

“I went to submit my letter of intention at the party today, but I was called back to resubmit my name because the submission I claimed to have done at the local before is not recorded.” He explained.
