Frank Edoho reveals earning N160,000 during ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’

Prominent Nigerian media personality Frank Edoho has shared insights into his earnings during his early days as host of the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (WWTBAM) TV show.

Edoho disclosed at a recent event that he earned N160,000 monthly in his first two years of hosting WWTBAM, all while appearing wealthy on the show.

He explained that his reality was different compared to the wealthy status people ascribed to him at the time.

Frank Edoho stressed that while he wasn’t rich, he had to maintain a polished image. This involved always wearing suits and appearing confident in public, even with his low earnings.

However, he revealed that MTN’s sponsorship eventually made his consistency pay off with commensurate earnings.

“But when MTN came on, I just said let me just give a figure to my boss, the owner of the show. If I should mention it, you all will suffocate, and he was like, ‘Okay, we’ll give you 3 months backpay.’”

According to Edoho, this deal significantly changed his financial situation and also turned his career around as a TV presenter.
