Popular security network Agency, known as Amotekun has apprehended a suspected criminal who allegedly disguised himself as a mentally unstable individual in Ondo State.
According to reports, the suspect was found in possession of a mobile phone at the time of his arrest and is also allegedly linked to kidnapping and robbery activities in the state.
In a viral video circulating online, the young man was reportedly instructed to change into a normal outfit. In which he had concealed inside one of his dirty bags, revealing what authorities believe was part of his disguise.
The head of the security operatives expressed satisfaction over the arrest and commended the officers involved for their vigilance and dedication.
He also urged members of the public to cooperate with Amotekun personnel to support ongoing efforts aimed at curbing criminal activities and improving security within the community.
The clip has since triggered waves of reactions with several users commending the security operatives while also giving accounts of similar allegedly disguised mentally unstable individuals in their vicinity.
A user accounted:
“There was a time I went to Lagos Garage at d cathedral and one of d driver that usually park their bus around cathedral bus stop was complaining about a mad man in that place that his nt mad his just pretending because is having a phone. A later pass that place and I sense it too.”
Another user added:
“Their is one guy around federal uni adeyemi too he’s not a mad man have seen him talking a someone he was shock amotwkun should check him out.”
“I swear south west we need to equip amotekun fr” @Reconnaissn tweeted.
