The just concluded celebrity boxing match, between Nigerian streamer and comedian Oderhohwo Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe and street-hop singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus Portable has triggered waves of reaction among other celebrities.
Amid controversials debates and boxing challenges trend, the new belt holder, Carter Efe has called out fellow streamer Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel, popularly known as Shank Comics over alleged unsettled previous dispute.
However, Shanks Comics’ reaction to suggestions from fans about a possible boxing match between them. While acknowledging the idea, he stated he would need proper training before stepping into the ring. He also threw subtle shade at the previous fight, describing it as “Wi-Fi boxing.”
“I will like to go into training, and if I’m to box Carter, I might even do hand surgery to avoid Wi-Fi boxing that’s what they did yesterday,” he said.
Apparently, the exchange has since sparked reactions online, with fans divided over the brewing tension and the possibility of another celebrity boxing showdown including nollywood actresses.
Similarly, Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin Lawal has reportedly expressed her readiness to go boxing with a fellow Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo over the duo’s long time fight.
Reacting to the challenges, she urged for date fixtures while also recounting her fighting skills. According to her, Iyabo Ojo will not last two minutes in the Ring.
“Set the date Paul okoye, set the fight date. If Iyabo Ojo came out alive, call me a bastard. Do you know how many years I spent in smuggling? I learned boxing. She won’t last two minutes in the ring with me.” She said.
Amid this, Eniola Badmus has also stirred waves of reactions online, after challenging her colleague and friend to a boxing match.
“Funke let’s get on the boxing ring….. it’s about time.” She wrote.
Notably, Carter Efe vs Shankscomics and Lizzy Anjorin vs Iyabo Ojo’s boxing challenges ignited from a long year feud characterized by accusations, social media battles, and among others in the past fews years.
Conversely, Eniola Badmus’ open challenge to Funke Akindele represents comic teasing among friends.
