The United States Immigration authorities have deported a Nigerian man, Ayodeji Olamide Ajayi over domestic violence and multiple criminal infractions.
The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) revealed that Ayodeji entered the US in 2007 on a student visa. However, he failed to leave the country, despite leaving school and violating the terms of his stay.
Since then, he reportedly engaged in several criminal acts including domestic violence, trespassing, intimidation, and obstruction. The immigration authority added that Ajayi’s criminal history also includes kidnapping, rape, and family neglect.

According to ICE, Ajayi’s deportation comes as part of the Trump administration’s ongoing effort to remove undocumented immigrants, including those with criminal records from the country.
“Thanks to POTUS’ commitment to getting criminal illegal aliens out of this country, Ajayi will be leaving the United States shortly,” they stated.
Notably, the US immigration didn’t disclose additional details of his crimes, including the location and other information.
Nonetheless, the news has triggered massive anger among Nigerians blaming Ajayi for poorly misrepresenting them.
