CDCFIB Releases Dress Code For 2024/2025 Recruitment Interview

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has released the approved dress code for candidates shortlisted for the oral interview in its ongoing 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.

The Board said the oral interview is scheduled to commence on September 7, 2026, and warned candidates to strictly comply with the approved dress requirements.

In a statement issued on Thursday by its Head of Press and Public Relations, Okeh Juliet, the Board said the clarification became necessary following enquiries from candidates regarding the appropriate attire for the interview.

White T-shirt, trousers, sneakers approved

According to the Board, candidates are expected to appear in a white T-shirt, which may be either short or long-sleeved.

It stated that long sleeves are optional for female candidates.

The approved outfit also includes white shorts or white long trousers, with long trousers being optional for female candidates.

The Board further listed white sneakers and white socks as part of the mandatory dress code. It added that headscarves are optional for female candidates.

“The approved dress code is as follows: White T-shirt with short or long sleeves. (The long sleeve is optional for ladies) White shorts or white long trousers (the long trouser is optional for ladies),” the statement read.

Candidates warned against non-compliance

The Board issued a strong warning to shortlisted candidates, stressing that failure to comply with the approved dress code could prevent them from participating in the interview.

“All candidates are advised to strictly adhere to the dress code stated above. Candidates who fail to comply will not be granted access to the interview venue,” the Board said.

It also wished all shortlisted candidates success as they prepare for the final stage of the recruitment exercise.

Interview marks final stage of recruitment

The oral interview represents the final stage of the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigerian Correctional Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Immigration Service.

The Board had earlier announced that candidates who applied under the Graduate Category were expected to check their shortlisting status on the official recruitment portal between August 31 and September 2, 2026.

Candidates who applied with NCE, OND and SSCE qualifications are scheduled to check their shortlisting status between September 7 and 9, 2026.

Shortlisted candidates to print invitation letters

The Board said shortlisted candidates are required to select an interview venue nearest to them, alongside their preferred date and time, before printing their invitation letters.

It advised applicants to follow the instructions on the recruitment portal carefully and ensure that all required steps are completed ahead of the interview.

Recruitment remains free

The Board also reiterated its warning against individuals who may attempt to exploit applicants by demanding money in exchange for employment.

It stressed that the recruitment exercise is completely free of charge and advised candidates not to pay anyone who claims to have the power to secure employment for them.

The Board urged candidates to rely only on official information and channels throughout the recruitment process.
