A Nigerian traveler identified as DemoofUK on X has called out Airpeace following the airline’s flight rescheduling which is past his wedding day.
The incident highlights the ongoing challenges facing the airline on its Lagos to London route, including technical faults, aviation fuel constraints, and regulatory scrutiny.
According to DemoofUK, the airline rescheduled his flight without prior communication. The development will cause him and his partner to land two days after their wedding day.
He wrote:
“Airpeace Airpeace Airpeace.
Airpeace has rescheduled my flight to After my Marriage. Im stuck in London till after my wedding. Like @flyairpeace said we should land 2days after wedding without no prior communication.”I don’t know whether to cry or laugh.”
While responding to questions about why he chose the airline despite previous complaints from passengers. He explained that he had a smooth experience flying with Air Peace last year.
He responded:
“So guys, I will answer necessary questions now.
‘Why @flyairpeace?’
Flew with them last year & it was smooth. So obviously, there should be a next time.
‘You should have booked another flight’
Yh, it’s a whole wedding. So we booked a while ago before their call-outs lately.”
As the incident continued to spark widespread reactions online, several internet users shared similar experiences claimed to have encountered with the airline.
Some comments read:
“My friend found out his flight from London to Abuja last night has been rescheduled to Thursday at the airport, with no prior information. Previously rescheduled the return date already. Crazy airline.”
“Sorry for your experience. I hope they do the right thing going forward. They should refund asap so you can book another flight. Going forward, it seems this airline should be boycotted. Last month it was Funke Akindele complaining about them. Nawa o.”
Recalling that popular actress and film producer Funke Akindele recently criticized Air Peace. After the airline allegedly abandoned passengers at London Gatwick Airport for hours without proper communication.
