Nigeria’s Senate President, Sen. Godswill Akpabio has rated President Tinubu’s security performance excellently, disclosing that there have been notable improvements.
Sen. Akpabio, while speaking to the media during his visit to the President in Lagos stated that he has done very well in terms of security. He added that the security improvements have prevented insurgents from hoisting their flags anywhere in the country.
“Tinubu has done very well. There’s no part of Nigeria today that you will have the flag of any insurgent, whether Boko Haram being hoisted. Organized bomb blast everywhere have been brought to an end,” he noted.
The Senate President furthered that the incidents of organized bomb blasts have also reduced drastically across the country.
Despite this, Sen. Akpabio remarked that there are still areas for the President to improve on. As such, he revealed that the National Assembly will support the President’s drive to establish State Police in Nigeria.
He stressed that efforts are ongoing to create a responsible state police including a federal oversight agency. He also noted that the state police will help address further insecurity issues across Nigeria.
