A Canada-based Nigerian woman, Ezinne Nwanorue, has accused her husband, Franklin Nwanorue, of being unfaithful despite publicly taking a fidelity oath in which he vowed to remain sexually faithful to her.
The couple, recently drew widespread attention on social media after posting separate videos in which they each swore not to engage in extramarital affairs, invoking death upon themselves if they ever broke the vow.
In his video, Franklin declared that if he relocated to Canada and cheated on his wife, he should die, adding that the oath was made after his wife said she had been directed by God to request it. Ezinne also made a similar pledge, promising to remain faithful to her husband.
However, in a Facebook post on Thursday, Ezinne alleged that her husband had already broken the oath. She claimed a woman identified as his “side chick” admitted that Franklin had slept with her even after making the public declaration.
Ezinne further alleged that although her husband sponsored her relocation to Canada, she had endured significant hardship in the marriage. She said she intended to assist him in obtaining a Canadian visa but maintained that she believed God would judge him if he had indeed violated the oath.
Her allegations have generated widespread reactions on social media. As of now, there has been no public response from Franklin Nwanorue addressing his wife’s latest claims.
