A Nigeria police officer has stirred outrage online after posting a controversial TikTok video shortly after an alleged case of police brutality in Delta State.
The reactions followed the reported killing of 28-year-old Mene Ogidi by ASP Usman Nuhu and four other officers on April 26. The incident has continued to generate widespread condemnation across social media.
In the now-viral 15-second clip, the unidentified officer seen mocking civilians while referencing “waybill collections.” The video captioned: “We active una no go like collect waybill again.”
The statement has fueled fears and criticism surrounding alleged extortion practices linked to some officers. Amid how Nigerians accuse the police of insensitivity with ongoing concerns over brutality and abuse of power. The video has since triggered heavy backlash online, as internet users questioned the credibility and public image of the Nigeria Police Force. Following several calls for disciplinary action against the officer involved.
