An X user identified as @FeneAustin has called out Air Peace after alleging that the airline sent her a fake transfer receipt as a refund following the cancellation of her child flight.

Fene, who explained how she booked a return ticket with Air Peace for her child, whom she serves as legal guardian, and just turned 18, to travel to Nigeria on April 4 and return to London on April 18.

The flight was scheduled to depart Heathrow Airport at 10:20 p.m. and arrive in Abuja at 4:30 a.m. on April 5. However, the airline allegedly failed to depart as scheduled. While leaving the passengers waiting for hours without any communication.

According to her, the airline promised a refund following the cancellation after her earlier call-out on X, assuring her that the money would be returned within 14 working days. On May 20, 2026, Fene raised fresh concerns, alleging a “fake transfer” and stating that although the airline claimed to have sent the refund on May 15, she had yet to receive the money.

Her complaint adds to a growing list of grievances from passengers accusing Air Peace of cancellations, poor communication, and repeated rescheduling.

Recalling similar incidents, a Nigerian traveler identified as DemoofUK recently criticized Air Peace after the airline allegedly rescheduled his flight beyond his wedding date. Popular actress and film producer Funke Akindele also called out the airline earlier this year after passengers were reportedly left stranded for hours at London Gatwick Airport without proper communication.
