Nigerian Gospel Artist Victoria Orenze has expressed disappointment as some gospel ministers and church goers using the name of the Lord for profit amid ongoing crisis in the country.
Orenze voiced that there are those who don’t hear God but yet want to speak on HIS behalf.
According to her;
Whenever a few are benefitting from a government they say the government is working, because they don’t care about the good of the majority of Nigerians, they only care about their pockets and stomach!!!! GOD CANNOT BE MOCKED!!!
The Gospel artist added that God does not support selfishness, wickedness, greed, pretense, hypocrites and all round Evil. Hence, anyone claiming to know and represent God should not support evil and wickedness.
So anyone saying they know God and represent God and yet support evil and wickedness that person doesn’t know God at all!!! They are just seeking what they will eat! Stomach Christianity! He who wears the cap fits wear it,” she emphasized.
Victoria Orenze furthered in an additional post that while they have been praying for Nigeria for over 3 years, it is not enough to just pray. She stressed that several things in Nigeria including the hospitals, schools, security, and others are not functioning properly.
As such, she opined that;
BUT WE CANNOT CALL EVIL GOOD AND WRONG RIGHT! Our GOD is truth and we must speak the truth! We are not perfect but we must not support evil!
I am not against anyone, I love believers, I have been speaking this for years, but pls more is expected of us as believers.
Orenze’s statements come amid rising concerns over the continued detention of the Students and Teachers kidnapped in Oyo State.
