YouTube unveils Channel to stream World Cup matches

Youtube has unveiled FOXOne as the official channel to be used for streaming World Cup matches.

According to YouTube, all of the 2026 World Cup matches will be streamed live on FOXOne, a channel linked to the FOX News conglomerate. The unveiling comes roughly a month after YouTube revealed its partnership with FIFA for the 2026 global football tournament.

The announcement made on May 1, indicates that the first 10 minutes of all World Cup games will be streamed live on FIFAโ€™s YouTube channel. This is expected to give viewers a preview before switching to other platforms for the full matches.

Additionally, certain selected full matches will also be streamed on YouTube, marking the first for the global tournament.

FIFA explained that the move will help maximize the tournamentโ€™s impact across the evolving media landscape. This will allow fans to gain easier access to the competition across different parts of the world.

The partnership will also allow media partners to publish extended highlights, behind-the-scenes footage, and other tournament content.
