Nasboi faces backlash after dashing stranger N70,000 for showing gratitude

Popular Nigerian skit maker and singer, Nasboi, has stirred reactions online after sharing a story about how an act of gratitude from a stranger moved him to give the man a total of โ‚ฆ70,000.

In the post which has generated waves of reactions online, Nasboi narrated how the unexpected encounter happened during a quiet evening at the beach.

According to him, he had gone to the beach to relax when he asked a young man nearby to help him buy a bottle of water, handing him โ‚ฆ1,000 for the errand. Upon returning, the man gave him both the water and โ‚ฆ700 change. Touched by the manโ€™s humility and appreciation, Nasboi decided to let him keep the remaining โ‚ฆ700.

โ€œjust say you are no different from slave masters who would rather send their fellow human on errands they can run for themselves cus they feel because they have money other people should serve them. Exchanging a human dignity for a peanut and coming online to brag about it to lure people into showering praises on you should be counted among the all time low expectancy of humansโ€ A user wrote.

However, some internet users doubt the authenticity of the storyline while describing it as folktale.

โ€œHow am I going to believe this story line, “that NASIRU don’t have a power bank”

Story for the gรธdsโ€

โ€œWhich kind folklore be this lol, Tales under the moonlightโ€

However, other users sing praise of the singer further commending his act generosity and kindness.

  1. “You have a good heart, May God reward with abundance,ย  thank you for staying true and genuine…you inspire! I pray such favours comes my way soon, amen!”
