“I Spent Four Days in Cell Without Food or a Bath” — TikToker Peller Laments After Arrest for Allegedly Threatening and Recording Police Officers

Popular Nigerian TikToker Peller has opened up about his time in police detention, alleging that he spent four days in a cell without food or access to a bath.

The outburst followed his arrest over claims of threatening and recording police officers while they were carrying out their duties.

Speaking after regaining his freedom, Peller described the experience as traumatic, claiming he endured harsh conditions throughout his detention.

According to him, he was denied food and was unable to bathe for four days while in custody, leaving him physically and emotionally drained.

Recall that Peller’s arrest emerged from the allegations of obstructing police officers in the discharge of their lawful duties, threatening them, and recording the encounter. The incident later sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many users debating the circumstances surrounding his arrest and treatment.

Following his arraignment, the court granted Peller bail in the sum of ₦500,000 with two sureties. One of the sureties must be a blood relative, while both sureties are required to present tax clearance certificates for the previous two years.

His claims about the conditions of his detention have since generated fresh conversations online, with many netizens expressing disbelief in his outburst.

“Lol you no fit spend 4 days for cell without food. All dis nah fab yarns. If nah bathing now…. E normal for cell. Where u wan bath. Lol. But u see that food… With 2days u go Dan run mad make peller dey play” A user wrote.

However, as of the time of filing this report, the Nigeria Police Force has not publicly responded to Peller’s claims that he was held without food or access to bathing facilities during his detention.
